pocket mocks

I took a pair of jeans...

and cut off the back pocket panel...

split the seem...and cut the waist band off...

reversed the waist band and sewed it on the back of the mocks
for the heel strap...and sewed on some pleather for the souls...

they're ok for prototypes...the next pair will be easier to make and look better
hopefully...

some other projects...

jean duffle/laundry bag

I split the leg seems and sewed them together and added a bottom panel
to make this duffle bag...I use it for a laundry bag...with pockets for everything...

levi jean bag

this one took some time...it's your usual Levi jean bag...

I took sections from the legs and braided them to
create the shoulder strap, and added a scrap leather handle/shoulder
pad for carrying...

Makes a nice laptop bag or carryall...

small saddle bag

It started out as a simple bag...with a bottom panel.

but then I cut an access into the middle and made it a sort of
saddle bag...

sewed on belt loops and added a belt...

makes a handy carrier for things...

big smith shop apron

I took a pair of Big Smith carpenter pants that had seen their day and split the seems on the legs and partially split the waist band...to make the collar.

I made straps using strips cut from the legs...

these pants made an excellent shop apron because of the numerous
pockets and loops...

I have storage for every manner of tool and such that I need...
